Thursday, January 25, 2007 Two playing areas for children (South

...and North)

A circle of trees planted not far from the children's playing area...

The other 'foot bridge' linking North-South, this one is inside the park...

Islands of shadows on the South border...

Good footpaths inside and around the park...

Some circles of fire (flowers)...

A lake and some ducks..

Some old 'walled' idea...

F11 to enjoy full screen

a 8 minute walk from Dollis Hill Tube Station .

Follow the sign and the to get to the .

The foot bridge on the left at , using East, West, North and South as references, sends you to the North side .

But the main gate/entrance , where you find out about lots of things you cannot do, is on the opposite side.

On the right of this entrance, after passing two beautiful 'patios/platforms,
... ... you can see a very synthetic expensive colourful 'Walled Garden'.

...better outside...

The park, that had better days, is rescued only by large tarmac paths bordered with old trees.

...

...some 'wildlife areas' around the railways and a wishful 'fauna' poster...
... and more trees...

...these 'totems' are surprises...

...

Beautiful trees and

seats, not all vandalised. A rugby pitch...and pigeons on a roof in the South ...

Landscape that you will find in other Brent Parks. Not the best bowling area...and an 'Ondine'...the muse of waters...
......

Parks and Friends of Parks, playgrounds and open areas

Homage to millions of people...

Lots of horrible court tennis (South and North)... Do not forbid if you cannot enforce the laws (...)...

...

Small fences, no adequate doors or passages between courts or to the exterior.

NOTE: After an Asian majority, Brent Council has more African and European (continental) people than any other council but not a basketball, handball or a volleyball pitch...

One word: 'Inclusion'!

Harrow / Kenton have basketball pitches funded by 'Sport England'....and they are noisy only if in the wrong place.

Dogs and owners...In these two cases the owners did take care of the dogs pooh...
...

...

Lots of space to enjoy the dogs as playmates...
